Simple Currant Cream Scones:
(Makes 4 Scones)
1 cup (5 oz.) all-purpose
2 tablespoons sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into ¼-inch pieces and chilled
¼ cup dried currants
½ cup heavy cream
Adjust oven to middle rack and heat oven to 375 degrees
Bake until golden brown, about 18 to 22 minutes, rotating halfway through
Let cool 10 minutes before serving
